Music + Walk = Confidence?

I’m not sure if it’s a scientific fact or if it’s just me but does listening to a song when you’re heading out your first class or just walking give you this sensation of confidence and happiness? For some reason it gives me that feeling. I didn’t really want to get up for my 10:00am macroeconomics class on Monday but I had to. I wasn’t about to miss a class. My parents are paying tuition! So I got up, prayed, got dressed and got out. In the elevator, I plugged in my earphones and started listening to M.I’s “beef” and something about walking out of the doors of Race hall and hearing M.I’s voice loudly saying “but I’m not in the league help me tell them” just made me really happy and really confident that I was going to have a great day. The funny thing is “beef” isn’t really an inspirational or motivational song. It’s not like I was listening to “I believe I can fly” or something close to that.  I listened to music on my way to class the next day too. This time it was D’banj’s “scapegoat” but it had the same effect. I am not sure why, but listening to music while walking spreads an unexplainable smile on my face and induces a confident gait. I wonder if anyone else has the same experience. If you’re not sure, try listening to a song you really like when walking to class or wherever and see what happens :)
